Average American Goddess is a series about the adventures of an immortal teenager and her family and friends. This coming-of-age story explores diverse themes, ranging from the universal struggles of adolescence to trauma and conflict, and is a reminder that ancient forces, both good and evil, still shape our world today.
The main character is an American teenager named Lindsay James, who comes from a family of immortal people with superhuman abilities, which they use to protect mortals (ordinary non-magical human-folk with finite lifespans), which constitute the majority of the world’s population. Because they cannot reveal themselves as magical to the rest of the world, they adopt “superhero” alter egos in order to use magic openly and for the good of all. When the immortals of the James family aren’t battling evil, they’re running a family farm and feeding their community.
