Also known as Eldritch magic, it is the domain of a class of mysterious beings known as the Others. The Others, and those associated with them, have abilities mostly unknown to most people, both magical and otherwise. There are aspects of Other magic that are evil and those that are good.
Dark Other Magic: usually taking the form of curses.
- Voices of Chaos: Disembodied voices capable of adversely affecting any unprotected life form that is exposed to them for too long.
- Dark Runes: Symbols used to place a curse upon a place or person, usually implementing the voices of chaos.
Light Other Magic: usually protecting against or removing curses.
- Silencing Chaos: Silencing the disembodied voices to prevent or remediate the negative effects on living organisms.
- Protective Runes: Symbols used to prevent or remove a curse from a place or person, by silencing the voices of chaos.
Forbidden colors (colors that most human brains can’t process) are a vital aspect of Other magic and can be used for good or evil. Runes, both dark and light, take their true form in forbidden colors.
The Book “Wisdom of Aurië”, is a tome owned by Ida Crawford, a Reverend Mother of the Guardians against the Empty. It contains information on Other magic, runes, and spells.
